These devices feature an inner cylinder built into an outer cylinder. The wire rope hoists the inner cylinder on the ground in the hole. This type of core barrel is quite valuable as it helps to reduce the number of booms required. It is also the most reasonable core barrel, particularly suitable for coring deep layers.
